UPDATE: 1PM Highway 17 north is now re-opened

Highway 17 north from Batchawana to Wawa has been closed.
Adverse weather including snow and blowing snow caused the closure early this morning.. The highway was closed at 1:30 Tuesday morning and remains closed at this time.
Motorists can detour by taking Highway 101 (Wawa to Chapleau), then Hwy 129 to Thessalon and rejoin Hwy 17.
