Helping Hands Launches Campaign to Support Their Barber’s Journey to Cancer Recovery

Dan Trevisanut

Helping Hands is reaching out to the residents of Sault Ste Marie today with a heartfelt appeal to support their beloved local barber, Dan Trevisanut during his challenging time.

“As many of you know, as a next door neighbour, Dan has always been there for us, giving us his time at our events and donating proceeds from haircuts to Helping Hands, says Helping Hands President Robert Peace. Dan creates one of the most interesting spaces in the Soo in his barbershop.

“Unfortunately, Dan has recently faced a health crisis that has forced him to close his shop temporarily. He now needs to travel out of town to receive the specialized medical treatment he urgently requires. This unexpected journey has placed a significant financial burden on him, and his family and that’s where we can make a difference,” says Peace

Helping Hands has set up this GoFundMe campaign to rally around Dan and ensure he can focus on his recovery without worrying about the costs of accommodations, travel, and medical bills. Every donation, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping him on this journey to recovery.

Helping Hands Board Member John Korab laid out the program:
1. Book a virtual haircut and Contribute: Any amount you can spare will make a difference. Your generosity will directly support Dan’s accommodations, travel expenses, and medical bills.
2. Share: Please share this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks. The more people who know about Dan’s situation, the more help we can provide.
3. Offer Encouragement: Leave words of support and encouragement for Dan in the comments section. Your kind words mean the world to him.

“Dan has been an integral part of our community, and now it’s our turn to give back, says Korab. Let’s show him the love, support, and gratitude he deserves during this challenging time.”

100% of all funds raised go direct to Dan and his family. Participants will receive regular updates on his success.

“We want to thank everyone in advance for being part of this journey with us,” says Peace. Together, we can make a significant impact and help him on the path to recovery.”
