Greyhounds reduce roster to twenty-seven

The Soo Greyhounds are now set for the 2023-24 Ontario Hockey League pre-season.

Training Camp 2023 officially came to a close earlier tonight with Team White defeating Team Red 11-6 in the Annual Luke Williams Memorial Red & White game.

Following the contest, Greyhounds’ General Manager Kyle Raftis and accompanying staff trimmed the team’s active roster down to twenty-seven (27) players.

Remaining with the club are:

GOALIES (2):  Charlie Schenkel, Landon Miller

DEFENCEMAN (9):  Arttu Karki, Caleb Van De Ven, Caeden Carlisle, Spencer Evans, Brodie McConnell-Barker, Andrew Gibson, Kirill Kudryavtsev, Connor Toms, Matthew Virgilio

FORWARDS (16):  Tate Vader, Ethan Montroy, Brady Martin, Christopher Brown, Brenden Sirizzotti, Connor Clattenburg, Justin Cloutier, Marco Mignosa, Daylen Moses, Travis Hayes, Owen Allard, Bryce McConnell-Barker, Dustin Good, Alex Kostov, Julian Fantino, Jordan D’Intino

Elevan players were subsequently released/re-assigned following tonight’s game.  Those players are:
Zack Irvin, Keegan Gillen, Hunter Solomon, Diego Da Silva, Brady Smith, Sydney Loreto, Noah Tegelaar, Caleb Labelle, Jordan Charron, Nate Brentnell, Zack Corte

The Hounds will now quickly enter exhibition play when they host the Sudbury Wolves this coming Sunday, September 3rd.
Game time is 2:07 PM at the GFL Memorial Gardens.

Tickets for this game can be purchased at the SK Group Box Office inside the GFL Memorial Gardens 10 AM to 2 PM Saturday or from 10 AM through game time on Sunday.
