Darcy, 64, says he always ensures he adds ENCORE on his LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX tickets. “I typically check my tickets when I have a stack to check – but this time I didn’t wait,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I checked my ticket on the OLG app and heard the winning tune. I wondered if it was real!”
Darcy said he got his wife to take a second look at the app and they were both in shock. “She was concerned it was a scam. We brought it to the store to make sure it was real – even the clerk was excited,” he smiled.
“My friends and family have been so supportive and celebratory. This is awesome and I feel thankful.”
He plans to use his win to pay off this truck and travel with family to enjoy some adventures together.
