The Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site joins the global celebration of International Museum Day this Saturday, May 18. Visitors are invited to explore the site for free from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
“International Museum Day is a day dedicated to celebrating the vital role museums play in preserving heritage and culture and enriching communities. Our site invites everyone to immerse themselves in history, and enjoy a day filled with activities,” says Kathy Fisher, Curator.
Throughout the day visitors can participate in a variety of activities including:
- Designing a patch for the community quilt (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
- Learning about quilting from local experts (11 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
- Thinking Rock Community Arts (12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
- Viewing artifacts from the attic and new exhibits throughout the buildings
