Ermatinger Clergue National Historic recognizes International Museum Day with free admission this Saturday

The Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site joins the global celebration of International Museum Day this Saturday, May 18. Visitors are invited to explore the site for free from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

“International Museum Day is a day dedicated to celebrating the vital role museums play in preserving heritage and culture and enriching communities. Our site invites everyone to immerse themselves in history, and enjoy a day filled with activities,” says Kathy Fisher, Curator. 

Throughout the day visitors can participate in a variety of activities including:

  • Designing a patch for the community quilt (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
  • Learning about quilting from local experts (11 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
  • Thinking Rock Community Arts (12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
  • Viewing artifacts from the attic and new exhibits throughout the buildings
