On August 21, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 39-year-old April Milsap with fraud under $5,000.
Around 9:00 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an employee committing fraud at a business in the 200 block of McNabb Street, occurring between May 2, 2023, and July 19, 2023. The caller identified the employee as the accused.
The employee had allegedly made multiple fraudulent returns, placing the funds into their personal bank account. The total amount fraudulently obtained by the accused is $1,636.85.
Officers attended the accused’s residence to arrest them, but they were not home. The accused attended the Police Services Building around 12:30 p.m. and they were arrested.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on October 30, 2023.
