Earn Cash For Your Santa Parade Entry!

Santa Claus is coming to town at the Rotary Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, November 18th. Santa will make his grand entrance along Queen Street East, between Church Street and Gore Street. Local businesses, community groups and schools are encouraged to join the fun this holiday season. Walking entries, people-powered entries (e.g. bicycles), and floats are all welcome to participate.

For the first time in recent parade history, winning entries can collect not only bragging rights, but a cash prize presented by IDA. Winning categories, with prizes up to $500 include: High School Spirit Award, Elementary School Spirit Award, Best Corporate Entry, Best Community Entry, and the Norm Candelori Trophy for Best in Parade.

“We are very excited to be awarding cash prizes for best entries this year. What a great way to drum up some holiday cheer,” shared David K. Marshall, Parade Marshal and Chief Elf Organizer. “Santa told me that Sault Ste. Marie is his favourite place to be. He loves all the kids that come out to the parade. He can’t wait to see their smiling faces, and the creativity from the community.”
