Duo Charged With Robbery

On January 21 and 22, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 20-year-old Jessie Caithcart and 27-year-old Dylan Daigle, respectively, with robbery and several other offences.

On January 21, 2024, 911 Communicators received a report of a robbery at a business in the 200 block of Wellington Street West. Officers were dispatched to the business, but the two suspects had already run away.

Investigation revealed when the two accused were confronted by staff about trying to leave the business with items they had not paid for, Jessie Caithcart threw a wooden stick at the victim and Dylan Daigle threatened them with a knife. Both accused also had warrants for their arrest after shoplifting from a business in the 300 block of McNabb Street on January 18, 2024.

On January 21, 2024, officers located Caithcart at a business in the 300 block of John Street, and they were arrested. This accused is charged with:

  • Robbery with Weapon
  • Assault with Weapon
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Theft Under $5,000

This accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

On January 22, 2024, officers were dispatched to a business in the 200 block of Wellington Street West in response to reports of an unwanted person. Upon arrival, officers identified this person as Daigle, and they were arrested. This accused is charged with:

  • Robbery with Weapon
  • Assault with Weapon
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Theft Under $5,000 x2
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order x2

This accused is also being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
