Drugs and Cash Seized

On April 22, 2024, detectives with the Drug Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Emergency Services Unit, Patrol Services, and the Ontario Provincial Police, charged 40-year-old Jason Gilbert with possession of schedule I substances for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Around 6:00 p.m., detectives arrested the accused in the 700 block of Queen Street East and seized approximately one gram of suspected methamphetamine and $2,283.30 in cash. After arresting the accused, detectives executed a search warrant at the accused’s residence in the 700 block of Wellington Street East.

As a result of the residence search, detectives located and seized approximately 78 grams of suspected fentanyl, approximately 45 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and approximately 14 grams of suspected cocaine. The estimated street value of drugs seized is $21,675.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

  1. This guy! ugh. Just got out of a long stint in jail for similar not long ago, and was going to fly right because his kids are number one and need him. Bla bla bla. What a disgrace!
    Warning to dealers that think they can pick up where they left off after jail, the boys in blue are watching you clearly. So just stop it for the love of god!
