Driver Charged with Refusal to Provide Breath Sample

On August 8, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 30-year-old Elizabath Vanlubeek with refusing to comply with a demand for a breath sample.

Around 9:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a motor vehicle collision on Des Chenes Drive. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the driver, identified as the accused, and developed grounds to believe their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. Officers attempted to get the accused to provide a breath sample into an approved screening device, but they refused all demands. They were arrested.

The accused is charged with:

  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Breath Demand

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on October 23, 2023.
