Further to the FirstLocalNews.com story on the $60 million re-development plans at the Station Mall, Robert Carter, from the Straton-Hunter Group reached out to us with an update.

In the article posted Thursday, we drew attention to the lack of work being done at the former Sears location where the bulk of the multi-million re-development is to take place.

We are in the process of preparing a detailed update to be released the week of May 13th, 2024. Our team is working hard to ensure the project meets its promise of transforming Station Mall into a vibrant hub of shopping, entertainment, and social interaction for local residents.

  1. That statement should be full of promises and a scaled down version of whatever was previously promised! You know , distribution problems , rise in cost of materials, yada yada yada

    1. At least they responded in a timely manner and didn’t make idol threats like Mr. Ferrari did at one point.
      At least something has been started at the site unlike Mr. Ferrari’s properties.

  2. I hear the over/under on the Stratton-Hunter demand of council contribution of taxpayer funding is $10,000,000.
