Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is requesting your assistance in identifying a suspect involved in mischief to mailboxes.

On 23 September 2023 at around 1:25 AM, an unknown female was at an apartment building located on Queen Street West. 

The suspect was able to gain entry into the secure building by prying the door. The female proceeded to pry open several mailboxes located on the first floor causing damage to several mailboxes.

This incident was caught on video surveillance.

The downtown plaza and related Queen street nightmare seems to have superseded everything else including keeping a sufficient number of police on the street where they should be, and not during bankers hours when the ne’er-do-wells are snoozing and dreaming about what they will pillage or destroy that night.
    The city’s priorities are not at all what they should be, all they want to do is continue to go broke over the dead downtown money pit while criminals and drug dealers run rampant.
    Stick a fork in the downtown development, it’s done, it was done a long time ago, you wrote it off and it will never be what you fantasize that it will in the future.
    Do what really needs to be done instead. No one needs to tell you what that is.
