Community Living Algoma celebrates Earth Day with a Community Clean-Up

CLA Community Clean-Up

If you see people wearing bright greet back sacks and picking up debris along city streets and sidewalks on Monday, April 22, you are seeing Community Living Algoma people supported, staff and other guests making neighbourhoods cleaner and greener in honour of Earth Day. They will be in Sault Ste. Marie and Thessalon, today, and Wawa, tomorrow.

The Clean-Up crews will be descending on a number of areas across the city to get sidewalks and boulevards ‘spring ready’. CLA appreciates the support received by community partners GFL, Princess Auto and the City of Sault Ste. Marie Public Works Department.

The Earth Day Community Clean-Up is a kick-off event for the 70th year anniversary of the founding of the organization. Community Living Algoma provides support to 546 people with intellectual disabilities or on the autism spectrum, across Algoma.
