Causing a Disturbance, Kicking Police

ARREST POLICE

On January 17, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 19-year-old Jersey Belleau with causing a disturbance, resisting arrest, and assaulting peace officers.

Around 8:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an unwanted person at a business in the 300 block of Bay Street who was refusing to leave. Officers were dispatched to the area and located the accused, and they were yelling and screaming. Officers asked them to leave the business, and they continued to refuse. Although they resisted, officers gained control of the accused and they were arrested.

The accused attempted to kick officers twice when being removed from the police cruiser, and later kicked an officer three times.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on March 11, 2024.
