Provincial broadcaster, TVO is coming to the Sault to find out , Can Angry People Still Be Good Citizens?

Cases of anger and violence are rising quickly across the country and globally. The rules of civility and engagement in public are no longer as clear as they were before the pandemic, from teachers facing an increase in violence to dangerous road rage incidents. Politicians are stepping down from public roles for the safety of themselves and their families. What can explain this rise in aggressive behaviour? What is our role as Ontarians to maintain civic engagement and strengthen democracy in Canada? TVO asks in promo material for the live taping.

The TVO special, TVO Live Today – hosted by Steve Paiken from the popular TVO program , “The Agenda” will tape the program May 27th at the Loft. 75 Huron Street.

Sault Ste. Marie Mayor, Matthew Shoemaker will be one of the panelists on stage.

If you are interested in being part of the studio audience, registration is at 6:30pm. Doors close at 6:55pm

The event is scheduled for 90 minute panel discussion.
