On February 1, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 32-year-old Brooks Warmington theft, assault, and two other offences.
Around 2:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a theft and assault at a business in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road. It was reported the accused had attempted to leave the business without paying for some items and assaulted an employee when confronted about it. The employee held the accused in custody until officers arrived and arrested them.
The accused is charged with:
- Assault
- Theft – Under $5,000
- Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other Than to Attend Court
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing and later released on an undertaking.
