Boon Flair & Flair Elite High Chairs recalled due to fall hazard

This recall involves Boon Flair & Flair Elite High Chairs that were manufactured prior to September 1, 2016. The affected model numbers are: B701, B702, B703, B704, B706, B707, B708, B709, B716, B717, B718, B731, B751, B10147, B11068, B11069, and B11401.

The lot/production code can be found on a sticker on the underside of the base in one of two formats.

In an abundance of caution, if the sticker is not present or the code is illegible, assume that the product is included in the recall.

The bolts used to secure the seat of the highchair to the pedestal base can become loose and allow the seat to detach, posing a fall hazard.

As of August 24, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 34 reports of incidents and 11 reports of injuries.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Boon Flair & Flair Elite high chairs and immediately contact TOMY for a free repair kit. Consumers will receive a set of bolts and split and flat washers to repair the recalled highchair.
