Bomb Threat at Local Bank

On February 16, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 46-year-old Corey Baker with robbery, assault, and several other offences.

Around 9:30 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of someone damaging property and making threats at a local bank. Officers were dispatched to the scene and the accused was arrested without incident.

Investigation revealed the accused entered the bank and began yelling about having bombs in their possession, telling everyone to get out. The accused pulled a fire alarm and began punching computer monitors, one of which hit a victim. None of the victims sustained physical injuries. When taken into police custody, the accused continued uttering threats about burning down other buildings.

Further investigation revealed the accused did not have explosive materials at the time of the incident.

The accused is charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Assault
  • False Alarm of Fire
  • Uttering Threats to Damage Property x2
  • Mischief Under $5,000

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing and remanded.

  1. I’m really hoping this is the same Corey Everett Baker that brutally assaulted my brother 7 years ago, for no reason.
