UPDATE: An arrest has been made in the incident involving an accused who barricaded themselves inside their Boundary Road residence and refused to present themselves to officers.
The accused was arrested without incident around 2:20 a.m. and charged with mischief.
Sault Police thank community members for their cooperation in avoiding the area.

There was significant police presence in the 100 block of Boundary Road as a person had barricaded themselves inside a residence.
Members of the Emergency Services Unit (ESU) and Patrol Services had the area contained. An Incident Commander and negotiators were on scene and attempted to communicate with the barricaded person.
