On February 19, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 24-year-old Robert Kelly with assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
Around 1:45 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an altercation at a residence in the 0-100 block of Lorna Drive. Officers were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers attempted to speak with the accused who became agitated, picked up a chair as if to swing it, and verbally threatened to throw it at officers. Although they physically resisted, they were arrested.
The accused is charged with:
- Assault Peace Officer with Weapon x3
- Resist Peace Officer
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
