A local agency that is dedicated to supporting families working with loved ones who have received a significant diagnosis is working hard to raise awareness and funds.
The Alzheimer’s Society of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma district relies heavily on fundraising initiatives to support their operations as they continue to provide support to both those living with a dementia as well as their care partners.
Terry Carpossi, Executive Director, and Bea Fioramanti, Resource Development Coordinator for the local Society stopped by the First Local News studio to discuss their recent and ongoing efforts to raise awareness around Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementias. They also have several initiatives on the horizon.
