Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services will be participating in live training starting this week. The Sault Ste. Marie Regional Fire Training Center will be utilizing a Mobile Live Fire Training Unit to help support district firefighter training needs by providing high quality, live fire training to the various Fire Services within the district of Algoma.
The training will take place from September 27th to October 5th, 2023.
Nine different Fire Services from the region are expected to attend the training.
Emergency lighting, steam and simulated smoke may be visible above the training site during training hours.
Public can expect to see increased activity at the SSM Regional Training Center located at 65 Old Garden River Road daily from 8:30am to 10:00 pm.
