On July 18, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 34-year-old Jordan Morrar with drug and weapons offences.
Around 2:00 a.m., officers patrolling Albert Street East observed a person, later identified as the accused, on a bicycle. After noticing the police, the accused attempted to evade them and threw an item into some bushes. Officers caught up with the accused and placed them under investigative detention.
A subsequent search of the accused and the area found the accused to be in possession of a knife, a homemade taser, drug paraphernalia, a scale, approximately 43 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl, and a pellet gun. The street value of the drugs is estimated to be $17,260. The accused was arrested.

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of Prohibited Weapon
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing and was remanded.
