20 Domestic Incidents Investigated In The Sault Last Month

Members from the Sault Ste Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have investigated 20 domestic related incidents in the month of October 2023, seven of which resulted in someone being charged with a criminal offence.

Some of the charges include:

  • Attempt Murder
  • Assault
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Sex Assault
  • Uttering Threats-Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Theft
  • Discharge Firearm
  • Unauthorised Possession of Firearm
  • Pointing a Firearm
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Utter Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Criminal Harassment
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victims.
