On June 15, 2024, officers with Patrol Services, with assistance from the Fraud Unit, charged 33-year-old Delores Waboose with fraud and possession of property obtained by crime.
On March 8, 2024, 911 Communicators received a report of someone attempting to cash a stolen cheque in the 500 block of Queen Street. An investigation revealed the accused had attempted to fraudulently cash a $2,000 cheque stolen from a victim’s vehicle in 2018. A warrant was obtained for their arrest.
On June 15, officers attending an unrelated call located the accused and arrested them on the strength of a warrant.
The accused is charged with:
- Fraud – Under $5,000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on August 12, 2024.
