SOULIERE, Rene Joseph

Rene passed from Cancer on June 2, 2024, at ARCH with an Angel Lisa by his side, into the arms of his beloved Jesus.  There to meet him in heaven was his dad, Abe Souliere and his mom, Emma Souliere.

Rene will be missed by his brother Michel (Carol) Souliere and his Uncle Fernando (Shirley) Jour.  Rene was an Uncle of Mich (Julia) Souliere and Uncle/Godfather of Jenna (Matthew) Inch.  Rene was a Great Uncle of Emma, Isaac Souliere and Levi Inch.

Rene will be dearly missed at all holiday dinners by Sherry McCarthy, Chris Densmore and the fur babies that would make Rene laugh because they always made sure his face was very clean when Chris brought him to the house.  He never forgot to bring empty containers that I had given him previously so they could be refilled.  Rene will be always remembered at all dinners in the future and I miss him dearly singing in the car with me.  (We were not good, but we did laugh).

There are so many people I would like to thank on behalf of Rene.  He would tell you, you all did a great job!  From his neighbor’s Bentley Lafleur, Sergio Turco that would keep an eye on him, help him or call me if they thought I needed to come.  The postman that would always stop and say hello to Rene.  I would like to thank his landlords Anita Paci and Nat Cicchelli for being kind to him and keeping him in a safe home.  I would like to thank Al White for coming to snow blow his driveway the past two years and doing a great job. Thank you to Christopher Densmore for all your help with cleaning out Rene’s house.  A most sincere thank you to Rev. Michael Omojola from Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church for coming to Sault Area Hospital and ARCH to give blessings and peace to Rene.   A big thank you to Wendy Booth from BMO and the employees for helping Rene all through his years.  Thank you to Blair from Dark Horse Millwork for the Beautiful Wood Urn he made quickly for Rene’s ashes. (sorry I cried when I called).  Thank you to Dawn from Dark Horse Pet Food that was instrumental in finding a new home for Rene’s cat.  Bless you all for all your help!  Thank you to O’Sullivan Funeral Home for the care and help.  Thank you to Lock City Monuments for all your help even with the changes.

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at SAH Emergency department and floor 3B.  You took great care of him and contacted ARCH quickly for him to go to ARCH.  To the nurses, staff, Tom (cook) and everyone at ARCH, God Bless You all for the wonderful and loving care Rene received from you all.  I can never thank you enough for the care and love you showed Rene.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family goodbye will be held soon.

Memorial donations in Rene’s name to ARCH would be appreciated.  Payable by cheque.

Rest in Peace Dear Rene.  You are now in the loving arms of Jesus.  God Bless.
