SCARFONE, Eugene Joseph (Sparky)

Eugene __Sparky

It is with heavy hearts we share that Eugene ‘Sparky’ Scarfone passed away peacefully with family by his side at the F.J. Davey Home on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 on his 102nd birthday.

Devoted husband and lifelong love to Anne with whom he shared 75 wonderful years of marriage. Sparky leaves behind a legacy of love and memories – especially as a father to Judy Ritza and Janet Scarfone, as a grandfather to Stephanie (Rob) Malec, Christina (Scott) Walkinshaw and Elizabeth Ritza (Olaf Smith), and as a great grandfather to Colin and Elodie Malec, and Connor Sharp. Son of the late Carmen and Eugenia Scarfone. Dear brother predeceased by Tony Scarfone (Antoinette), Joseph Scarfone (Lucy), Nora Ferroni (John), Mim Scarfone (Olga), Rocco Scarfone (Beryl), Josephine Lorenzo (Albert), Mike Scarfone (Mona), Mary Gassi (Bruno), and Lillian Soltys (Walter). Beloved brother-in-law to the late Frances and John Mislan, Mary and the late Richard Valenti, and Carl and Mary Krivan. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Sparky lived life with generosity and compassion, with family at the centre. He will be missed by many and remembered as a successful entrepreneur, loyal friend, active parishioner of St. Jerome Catholic Church, cornerstone of Foch Cleaners, and avid Soo Greyhounds supporter.

Special thank you to the staff at F.J. Davey Home Cedar Grove 3rd Floor and the Sault Area Hospital 3C.
