The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is advising the public of the following road closures on Saturday July 20th, 2024, to facilitate the Annual Rotary Community Day Parade.

Starting at 9:30 a.m. Queen Street East will be closed from Pim Street to Churchill Boulevard. This area will be used as a staging area for the parade and will be closed until approximately 12:00 p.m.

In addition, lower Church St will be closed at 9:30 a.m., re-opening to traffic around 12:00 p.m. The parade route (Lower Pim Street to Bay Street to Andrew Street) will be closed at 10:30 a.m. and will re-open around 1:00 p.m. upon the completion of the parade.

To keep the parade route free from obstructions, there will be limited access to St. Mary’s River Drive and Foster Drive starting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday July 20, 2024.

Any vehicle found on the parade route after 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning will be towed from the area.
Residents should expect traffic delays in the downtown core for the duration of the parade. There will be an increased number of pedestrians in the area as well, and we urge motorists to be vigilant and drive with caution when making their way to the parade route.

We thank you for your cooperation and wish everyone a safe and happy Rotaryfest, The Sault’s Summer Festival weekend.
