Mackinac County car vs. school bus collision claims one life

MACKINAC COUNTY — A crash in Mackinac County has claimed the life of an Arizona man, officials said Thursday morning.

It is reported by emergency management officials that a car collided with the rear of a Les Cheneaux Cedarville school bus on Wednesday after on M-129.

The report indicated that the school bus had stopped and its emergency flashers were activated when it was struck from behind by the vehicle.

There were no injuries reported to any passengers on the bus.

Officials have stated that the driver of the vehicle, a 48-year-old man from Arizona, perished at the scene, Further, a passenger is listed as being in critical condition.

Currently, the crash remains under investigation, according to officials.
