September 13, 1940 – June 29, 2024 – It is with heavy hearts that the family announces peaceful passing of Doris at the age of 83.
She was daughter to the late Ernest and Irene Wood. Loving wife to the late Ivan Joseph Lemay. Proud, patient and supportive mother of Debbie Clark (Jeff Nott), Rodger Lemay, Susan Lemay (Bruce) and Nancy Lemay. Loving Grandma of James Clark (Tanya), Christine Clement, Angela Sleeman, Joshua Shelbourne and Sarah Shelbourne. Great grandmother of Jasmine Clark (Greig), Danny Clark, Michelle Clark (Johnny), Hannah, Jesse and Hailey Clement. Great-Great grandmother of Easton, Leo James and Abigail. She is predeceased by her siblings George Wood (Gloria) and Jack Wood (late Leota). She leaves behind her siblings Clarence Wood (Mildred), Ellen Neal (Floyd) and Donna MacDonald (late Ken).
Doris enjoyed a long career at the General Hospital as a Dietary Aide. In her spare time, Doris loved bowling, going camping and spending time with family. Doris’ family takes comfort in the fact that she will be reunited with her husband Ivan and her dog Leroy. Doris always had a love of watching birds which gave her great comfort. She always had her own special relationship with God.
At Doris’ request, friends and family are invited to visit Greenwood Cemetery on Monday July 8, 2024 and line up in front of the Cemetery Chapel at 1:45 pm. for a 2:00 pm Graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
