Parts of the district and possibly Sault Ste. Marie could see up to 15cm of snow later today according to the latest forecast at Environment Canada. Sault Ste. Marie is included in the weather advisory, but it is not sure if the heavy snowfall will impact the City. Some models show the bulk of the snow falling north and east of the city. Accumulation is possible in the city from 3cm to 10cm by Thursday morning. Other parts of the region could exceed 10cm and up to 15cm
Environment Canada issued the following weather advisory for Superior East regions as well as the Northshore areas east of the city. An approaching low pressure system is expected to bring snow across the region starting this morning tapering off to light flurries by Thursday morning. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres are expected by Thursday morning.
