Fall turkey hunting license season now avaliable

Fall turkey hunting license applications for the 2024 season are available now through Aug. 1.

You can buy an application for $5 online at eLicense, anywhere DNR licenses are sold, or through the Michigan DNR Hunt Fish app. Drawing results will be available Aug. 12.

  1. There is no fall season for turkeys in these parts, they make you to pay thirty bucks to hunt a starved male turkey, only in the spring time, that have lost 50% of their weight over the winter.
    No taking of any female birds of which there are tens of thousands.
    There is no reason for there not be a fall turkey season here (except for government greed) where you can take a normal weight healthy bird.
    The way it stands now you are far better off to go to the grocery store and buy a Butterball.
    One of these decades they might make it fair and right but I highly doubt it.
