CARTER, Lorraine Mary

CARTER, Lorraine Mary

Our family has lost an irreplaceable treasure and matriarch of the family. With heavy hearts and endless tears the family of Lorraine Mary Carter announces her passing on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at the age of 90.

Our loving mother was reunited with her soulmate and beloved husband Bernard who passed at a young age of 40.

She left us with a legacy of unconditional love, strength, pride and faith.

Loving mother of Colleen (Wayne), Eddy (Celine), and Sandra. Very special to her and loved like her own children are Christine (late Terry) Higgins, Heather and Bob Tasse. Precious grandmother of Darren, Christian, Stephanie Ann, Shawn and Jeffrey. Loving Great Grandmother of Montana, Mischa, Suvi and Liam. Daughter of the late Ed and Edna Parisee. Sister of Bob Tasse, late Eileen and John Corbeal, late Loretta and Henry Chartrand, late Howard Miller. Lorraine will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She practiced and lived her life with nothing but kindness and love. Her family was her priority, but she was always there for anyone who needed help.

She courageously endured all the struggles and challenges as a single mom while raising three young children. She never complained. Her faith was always her anchor when she needed help and guidance. It helped her remain strong, selfless and caring right to the end.

When her grandchildren and great grandchildren came along it brought a whole new unconditional love to her life. She adored, snuggled, kissed and hugged them while sharing their milestones.

Heavy with tradition she has left us with many memories to last for generations.

Special thanks to the nurses and PSW’s at Extendicare Maple View (Twin Lakes).
