February 14, 1927 – May 21, 2024
We are truly devastated by the sudden passing of Joyce Bentley at the age of 97 on May 21, 2024 at the Sault Area Hospital. Survived by her loving husband of nearly 77 years, Emerson. Beloved mother to the late Philip (Marilyn), Lloyd Max (Cindy), Cheryl (Phil and the late Del), and Janice (Don). Grandmother to Matthew (Karita), Brooke (Bryan), Aaron, Bryanna (Kyle), and Leah (Billy). Great-grandmother to 12. Predeceased by siblings Wilbur and Dorothy (Art). She was a special aunt, cousin and friend.
Sweet, kind, and always positive are just a few of the words that best describe mom, and she had the patience of a saint. She was known for her baking skills and was a phenomenal knitter. Mom had a mind like a steel trap and was our ‘go to’ for information. We’re already missing her in so many ways.
A special thank you to the staff at Collegiate Heights who looked out for, and came to love our mom over the past few years…and the friends she made at the home.
Thank you to the fantastic nurses in ER and 3C at the SAH who took such special care of her at the end and eased her pain.
Age is just a number…
As per Joyce’s wishes cremation has taken place, a Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
