Nine Local Students Launching Summer Businesses

Sault Ste. Marie, ON (2023 07 13) – Nine local youths have been awarded funding to launch their own businesses under the Summer Company program. The young entrepreneur program provides business training and mentoring to assist high school and post-secondary students in starting a seasonal business. This initiative is administered by the Economic Development division of the City of Sault Ste. Marie.

“The Summer Company program continues to provide our youth with an opportunity to explore the world of entrepreneurship with the support and mentorship of local business leaders,” said Jessica Maione, Economic Development Officer with the City of Sault Ste. Marie. “I encourage the community to support these young entrepreneurs with their new endeavours.”
